Cocktail meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
- parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
- chili sauce
- minced onion - 1/3 c
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- black pepper - 1/8 tsp
- dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- jar grape jelly - 1 oz
How to make cocktail meatballs:
Sauce:1 (12 oz.) chili sauce1 (10 oz.) jar grape jelly Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, parsley flakes, milk, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce together and form into balls. Melt shortening in skillet and brown meat balls. (If fat conscience, bake meatballs in oven and then add to sauce.) Remove from skillet and pour off fat. Heat chili sauce and jelly in skillet, stirring constantly until jelly is melted; add meatballs and stir until thoroughly coated. Simmer, uncovered for 30 minutes. Serve hot.
