Chocolate torte
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 3 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- large Cool Whip - 1 item
- nuts or more pecans - 1 c
- small boxes instant chocolate pudding mix or any flavor - 2 item
How to make chocolate torte:
First Layer: Mix flour, margarine and 1/2 cup nuts. Press in bottom of 8 x 12-inch pan. Bake approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown in 300° oven. Cool completely.Second Layer: Cream the cream cheese and sugar well. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread 1/2 over crust.
Third Layer: Mix pudding mix and milk by directions on box. Spread over top and let set a few minutes before adding the other half of cream cheese mix. Spread toasted nuts over top.
