- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Icing:1 stick margarine
- nuts or coconut optional - 1 c
How to make chocolate sheet cake:
Icing:1 stick margarine1/3 c. milk1 box powdered sugar4 Tbsp. cocoa1 tsp. vanilla1 c. nuts or coconut (optional) Sift together flour, sugar and cocoa. Combine margarine, water and oil in saucepan; bring to a boil. Pour over flour mixture. Combine buttermilk in which soda has been dissolved, eggs and vanilla. Add to mixture and beat well. Bake in an 11 x 16-inch pan for 20 minutes at 400°.Icing: Heat margarine and milk. Pour over remaining ingredients and spread on cake.
