Chocolate sheet cake
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- water - 1 c
- confectioners sugar - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- unsifted flour - 2 c
- firmly packed brown sugar
- unsweetened cocoa - 1/2 c
- margarine
- can Eagle Brand condensed milk - 1 oz
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
How to make chocolate sheet cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. In small saucepan, melt 1 cup margarine. Stir in cocoa, then water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. In large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add cocoa mixture and beat well. Stir in 1/2 cup Eagle Brand milk, eggs and vanilla. Pour into greased 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan and bake 15 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.In small saucepan, melt remaining 1/4 cup margarine. Stir in remaining 1/4 cup cocoa and Eagle Brand. Stir in confectioners sugar and nuts. Spread on warm cake.
