Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- stick oleo - 1 item
- Heat oleo, shortening, water and cocoa in saucepan to boil; pour over flour mixture and mix well
How to make chocolate sheet cake:
Combine first 3 ingredients in bowl. Heat oleo, shortening, water and cocoa in saucepan to boil; pour over flour mixture and mix well. Beat together eggs, soda, milk and vanilla; add to batter. Bake in greased, floured jelly roll pan 20 minutes at 350°. Mix icing 5 minutes before cake is done.Icing:1 stick oleo3 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. chopped pecans Melt oleo, cocoa and milk.
