Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1/4 c
- powdered sugar - 1 pkg
- pecans - 1 c
- stick oleo - 1 item
- Mix the sugar and flour together in a large mixing bowl
How to make chocolate sheet cake:
Bring to a boil the first 4 ingredients. Mix the sugar and flour together in a large mixing bowl. Pour boiling mixture over the flour mixture. Mix in the buttermilk, soda, salt, eggs and vanilla. Put into a greased 13 x 9-inch sheet cake pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400°. Watch carefully. Make icing 5 minutes before cake is done.Icing:1 stick oleo4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla1 pkg. powdered sugar1 c. pecans Bring to a boil the oleo, cocoa and milk.
