Chocolate sauerkraut cake
Ingredients/Components
- margarine - 1/2 c
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour, sifted - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- water - 1 c
- can sauerkraut, drained, rinsed and chopped fine - 1 item
How to make chocolate sauerkraut cake:
Cream margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to mixture alternately with water. Beat well after each addition. Stir in sauerkraut.Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake in 350° oven for 40 minutes. Cool in pan. Frost with any favorite creamy chocolate frosting.
