Mock apple pie

Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
• butter - 1 item
• nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
• vinegar - 1 tsp
• cream of tartar
• pie crusts - 2 item
• soda crackers - 14 item

How to make mock apple pie:

Boil sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vinegar and cream of tartar for 5 minutes only; do not let boil over. Let cool.

Break soda crackers into fourths; dot with butter. Layer in pie crust as you would apples in an apple pie. Pour mixture over the crackers. Place 2nd crust on top. Slit top and bake as you would an apple pie.
