- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- milk - 1 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream together batter and shortening. Add sugar and mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Add vanilla. Combine dry ingredients; add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Bake in greased 10-inch tube pan at 325° for 80 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
