  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.Icing:2 c. sugar1 stick butter2 sq. chocolate2/3 c. evaporated milk1 tsp. vanilla Combine and bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Cool and beat until stiff.
