- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- evaporated milk - 2/3 c
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- chocolate - 2 sq
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.Icing:2 c. sugar1 stick butter2 sq. chocolate2/3 c. evaporated milk1 tsp. vanilla Combine and bring to a boil for 2 minutes.
