  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • cocoa - 4 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • sticks butter - 2 item
  • sifted flour plain - 3 c

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Icing:1 c. sugar1/4 c. cocoa1/4 c. milk1/4 c. butter Cream butter and shortening together. Add sugar and cream. Add eggs, all at one time and beat well. Add milk alternately with flour. Add cocoa to flour when sifting. Add vanilla and mix well.

Mix ingredients for icing together and bring to a boil 1 minute. Beat and spread on cake.
