- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- plain flour - 3 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Sift all dry ingredients together and set aside. Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Mix well with electric mixer and add eggs, mixing well. Alternately add dry ingredients, milk and vanilla. Mix very well. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes in a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
