- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1/2 lb
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream together butter and Crisco. Add sugar and eggs, one at a time. Sift all dry ingredients together. Add vanilla. Add milk to creamed mixture. Bake in 9 or 10-inch tube pan at 325° for about 1 hour and 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
