Chocolate oatmeal cake
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- milk - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- coconut - 3 Tbsp
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- sifted confectioners sugar
- melted butter or margarine
- firmly packed light brown sugar - 1 c
- soft butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- Stir
- quick oatmeal uncooked - 1 c
How to make chocolate oatmeal cake:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Stir. Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Then mix the remaining ingredients in the usual manner. Pour batter into a greased 9-inch square cake pan. Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes. Do not remove from pan. Frost with ChoRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
