  • chocolate cake mix - 1 item
  • large eggs - 2 item
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • mayonnaise - 1/4 c
  • coffee instant works fine
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 1/4 c
  • Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • water - 2 Tbsp
  • egg whites - 2 item

How to make chocolate mayo cake:

Heat oven to 350°. Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan. Line bottom of pan with wax paper. Melt butter and chocolate chips; set aside. In a bowl or food processor, pour remaining ingredients. Now, add chocolate mixture. Mix on high until batter is smooth. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool until pan can be touched before removing. Frost with Satiny Beige Frosting.Satiny Beige Frosting:1/4 c. corn syrup1/2 c. brown sugar2 Tbsp. water2 egg whites1 tsp. vanilla Mix sugar, corn syrup and water in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a rolling boil over medium heat, until a small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water forms a firm ball that holds its shape when pressed. Candy thermometer will read 242°. As mixture boils, beat egg whites until a stiff peak forms. Pour hot syrup slowly into egg whites, still beating on medium speed. Add vanilla and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
