Chocolate marshmallow bars

Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• eggs - 3 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• chopped nuts - 1/2 c
• baking powder - 1/2 tsp
• all-purpose flour
• peanut butter - 1 c
• miniature marshmallows - 4 c
• oleo - 3/4 c
• 8 oz
• baking cocoa - 3 Tbsp
• crisp rice cereal Rice Krispies - 2 c

How to make chocolate marshmallow bars:

In a mixing bowl, cream the oleo and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts, if desired. Spread in greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over cake. Return to oven 2 to 3 minutes. Using a knife dipped in water, spread the melted marshmallows evenly over cake. Cool!

For topping, combine chocolate chips, butter and peanut butter in small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and well blended. Remove from heat. Stir in rice cereal to spread over bars. Chill. Yields 3 dozen.
