Chocolate eclairs
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 4 Tbsp
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- powdered sugar - 3 c
- chilled milk - 2 c
- Add flour and cook until very thick, stirring constantly
- Cut and remove top of eclair
How to make chocolate eclairs:
Dissolve butter in boiling water. Add flour and cook until very thick, stirring constantly. Cool until warm. Beat in 1 whole egg at a time, beating well after each addition. Shape into 12 to 15 eclairs on greased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 450° for 15 minutes and then at 375° for 25 minutes.French Vanilla Cream For Eclairs:1 (3 oz.) French vanilla instant pudding2 c. chilled milk Mix according to directions on package. Cut and remove top of eclair. Fill with pudding. Replace eclair top.Chocolate Frosting For Eclairs:1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate1/4 c. butter4 Tbsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla3 c. powdered sugar Melt chocolate, butter, milk and vanilla in saucepan. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar. Beat with electric mixer until smooth. Add a little milk if frosting gets too stiff. Mix well.Recipe categories: Desserts, Weeknight, Vegetarian.
