Chocolate cream cheese brownies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- pkg - 1 oz
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- almond extract - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 1/2 c
- margarine
How to make chocolate cream cheese brownies:
Filling:2 Tbsp. margarine1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1/4 c. sugar1 egg1 Tbsp. flour1/2 tsp. vanilla extract Melt chocolate and butter or margarine in saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. Set aside. In a bowl, beat the eggs. Gradually add sugar, beating until thick. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture. Stir in melted chocolate, extract and nuts. Pour half the batter into a greased 8-inch pan.Filling: Beat butter and cream cheese in a bowl until light. Gradually add sugar, beating until fluffy. Blend in egg, flour and vanilla. Mix well. Spread over batter in pan. Dollop remaining batter over filling. Cut through the batter to make a marble effect. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Yields 2 dozen.
