Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- hot water - 1/2 c
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- sugar, divided
- ice cream - 1 item
- cocoa, divided - 4 Tbsp
How to make chocolate cobbler:
Combine flour, 3/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa. Stir in milk, butter and vanilla. Pour batter into 9-inch square baking dish. Combine remaining sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa and salt. Mix well and sprinkle over batter. Pour water over top. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream. Also reheats well.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Cobblers and crisps.
