- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp

- stick margarine - 1 item
- box confectioners sugar - 1 item
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- box yellow cake mix - 1 item
How to make chess squares:
Top Layer:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 box confectioners sugar3 eggs1 tsp. vanilla Bottom Layer: Melt margarine; add dry cake mix and beaten egg. Mix well. Spread evenly in 9 x 13 greased pan. (May add chopped pecans.)Top Layer: Soften cream cheese; add eggs and sugar (beat well in mixer). Add vanilla and pour over bottom layer. Coconut may be added to this layer. Cook in a 350° to 400° oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool and cut into squares to serve.
