  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 3/4 c
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • soft butter - 1 c

How to make chocolate chip cookies:

Heat oven to 375°. Sift flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. In large mixing bowl, mix butter, both sugars and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Add flour gradually. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts; mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 9 to 11 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen.
