Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • granulated sugar - 1/4 c
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts optional - 1 c
  • butter or margarine, softened - 1 c
  • unsifted all-purpose flour
  • firmly packed light brown sugar - 3/4 c
  • Jell-O Brand vanilla flavor instant pudding and pie filling - 1 serving

How to make chocolate chip cookies:

Mix flour with baking soda. Combine butter, sugars, vanilla and pudding mix in large mixing bowl; beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture, then stir in chips and nuts. (Batter will be stiff.) Drop by rounded measuring teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 7 dozen.

Variation: For Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies, substitute chocolate flavor instant pudding.
