  • pkg - 6 oz
  • milk - 1/3 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • almond extract - 1 tsp
  • can cherry fruit filling - 21 oz
  • fudge cake mix - 1 pkg
  • Stir by hand until well mixed

How to make chocolate cherry bars:

In large bowl, combine bar ingredients. Stir by hand until well mixed. Pour into greased and floured 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan or 13 x 9-inch cake pan. Bake 20 to 30 minutes.Frosting:1 c. sugar1 Tbsp. butter or margarine1/3 c. milk6 oz. pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over bars. Makes about 3 dozen bars.
