Chocolate beer cake
Ingredients/Components
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- boiling water - 1/2 c
- beer room temperature - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- buttermilk - 3/4 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make chocolate beer cake:
Mix boiling water and cocoa; stir in beer and let stand to cool to lukewarm.Cream margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir into cocoa mixture and add buttermilk. Beat in flour that has the baking powder and baking soda mixed in with it. Put in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Frost with a caramel fudge icing.
This is a moist cake, and keeps well.
