Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 1/2 lb
- ground almonds - 1 c
- almond essence - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vodka or gin - 1 Tbsp
How to make chinese almond cookies:
Cream butter and sugar. Add flour mixed with baking powder and beat. Slowly add nuts and flavorings. Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350°.Take a teaspoon of dough, roll in a ball and flatten. Put single almond in middle. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 20 minutes or until light brown.
