Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 6 item
  • milk - 2 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 item
  • dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
  • paprika - 2 tsp
  • garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • salt optional - 2 tsp
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • shredded Monterey Jack cheese - 2 c
  • slices bread, crusts removed - 6 item
  • can chopped green chiles I use more - 1 oz

How to make chiles rellenos casserole:

Spread bread with butter. Place buttered side down in 13 x 9-inch pan. Top with 2 cheeses and sprinkle with chiles. Beat eggs until frothy. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour over casserole. Cover and chill overnight or at least 4 hours.
