Chiles rellenos casserole
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 6 item
- milk - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 1 item
- dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
- paprika - 2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- salt optional - 2 tsp
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- oregano - 1 tsp
- shredded Monterey Jack cheese - 2 c
- slices bread, crusts removed - 6 item
- can chopped green chiles I use more - 1 oz
How to make chiles rellenos casserole:
Spread bread with butter. Place buttered side down in 13 x 9-inch pan. Top with 2 cheeses and sprinkle with chiles. Beat eggs until frothy. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour over casserole. Cover and chill overnight or at least 4 hours.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Main dish, Casseroles.
