Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- carton sour cream - 16 oz
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- cheese - 2 c
- tomato sauce - 1 c
- onion, sliced - 1 item
- tortillas - 1 doz
- small jalapeno pepper - 1 item
- chicken breast, cooked and shredded - 1 item
How to make chilaquiles:
Cut tortillas in pieces. Fry in a skillet until golden. In another skillet fry tomato sauce in 1/2 teaspoon oil. Add salt, garlic powder and crushed pepper. Saute for 5 minutes; remove from heat. Cool slightly; add sour cream. In a casserole dish spread some tortillas; follow with tomato sauce, cheese, chicken breast and onion. Proceed until done.
