Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • parsley flakes - 1/2 tsp
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • stalk celery, chopped - 1 item
  • carrot, chopped - 1 item
  • chicken, cut up or 3 chicken breasts - 1 item
  • bag egg noodles any size you like - 1 lb
  • whole tomato canned or fresh - 1 item

How to make chicken noodle soup:

Combine chicken with vegetables and seasonings. Cover with water; cook until done, 25 to 30 minutes. Remove skin and bones from chicken. Discard. Break chicken apart; place back in pot with vegetables. Cover with enough water to cover noodles when added. Bring to a boil; add noodles. Cook according to directions.

For less fat, place soup in refrigerator overnight before cooking noodles; you can skim off fat.
