Ingredients/Components
- plain flour - 1 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1 c
- garlic clove, minced - 1 item
- sliced mushrooms - 1 c
- stick oleo - 1 item
- sherry - 1 c
- chopped pimentos - 1 c
- cooked wild rice - 4 c
- sliced ripe olives - 1 c
- chicken breasts, boned and halved - 8 item
How to make chicken new orleans:
In large skillet, brown chicken in oleo. Remove chicken; saute celery, garlic, mushrooms, olives and pimentos. Add flour, stirring well. When mixture has thickened, return chicken to skillet. Add sherry, cover and simmer until chicken is tender. Serve over wild rice, cooked as package directs.Recipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Chicken breast.
