Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 4 Tbsp
- celery, diced - 3 pkg
- can mushrooms - 1 item
- onion - 1 item
- can water chestnuts - 1 item
- broth
- cans Chinese noodles - 2 item
- cans bean sprouts - 2 item
- chicken bouillons - 3 item
- chicken breasts about 8 - 2 pkg
- cans Chinese vegetables - 2 item
- small box rice - 1 item
How to make chicken chow mein:
Thickening:1/2 c. broth4 Tbsp. soy sauce1 Tbsp. brown sugar4 Tbsp. cornstarch Boil chicken and add chicken bouillons and onion to boil. Cool and debone chicken. Cook celery in a little oil until it begins to get tender. Then add 2 cups of chicken broth and continue cooking until done. Add to chicken. Add other ingredients.For Thickening: Mix broth, soy sauce, brown sugar and cornstarch. Bring to a boil and then add to rest of ingredients. Add more soy sauce to taste. Serve with cooked rice and noodles.
