Ingredients/Components
- slices day old bread - 8 item
- milk
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- cooked chicken - 2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
How to make chicken casserole:
Put bread slices in buttered 13 x 9-inch casserole and pour beaten eggs and milk over them. Layer the diced vegetables and chicken. Pour soup mixed with mayonnaise over top. Let stand overnight in refrigerator. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes. Put cheese on 10 minutes before finished.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Chicken breast.
