Ingredients/Components
- chicken - 3 lb
- can cream of chicken soup - 1/2 item
- celery, chopped - 2 c
- Miracle Whip - 1 c
- sour cream - 1 c
- water chestnuts - 8 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- minced onion - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- chopped almonds optional - 1/2 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- can French fried onions - 1 item
How to make chicken casserole:
Cook and debone chicken. Combine next 10 ingredients and add chicken. Place in 9 x 13-inch baking pan; top with grated cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Sprinkle 1 can French fried onions on top, then bake an additional 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Chicken breast.
