Ingredients/Components
- can sliced mushrooms, drained - 1 oz
- medium onion, minced - 1 item
- cubed, cooked chicken - 4 c
- blanched whole almonds - 2/3 c
- can water chestnuts, drained and cut into slivers - 1 oz
- chicken sauce - 1 item
How to make chicken almond casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°. Spread 1/2 chicken in bottom of 2-quart greased casserole. Top with mushrooms, chestnuts, almonds and onions. Arrange remaining chicken on top. Cover with chicken sauce. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake, uncovered, 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
