  • sugar - 2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 1 c
  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • plus 1 Tbsp - 1/2 c
  • eggs, well beaten - 4 item

How to make chewy cocoa brownies:

Sift flour, cocoa and salt together. Cream butter and sugar (gradually add sugar). Add eggs and blend. Add sifted dry ingredients, vanilla and nuts. Spread in a 13 x 9-inch pan, greased. Bake at 325° for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
