Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour
  • water - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts optional - 3/4 c
  • butter, melted - 3/4 c
  • Nestle Toll House baking cocoa - 3/4 c

How to make chewy cocoa brownies:

Stir together sugar, butter and water in bowl. Stir in eggs; stir in vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; stir into sugar mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread into greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 18 to 20 minutes until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Cool in pan.
