  • chopped nuts - 1 item
  • egg - 1 item
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • powdered sugar
  • box yellow or butter cake mix not pudding kind - 1 item

How to make chess squares:

Topping:1 lb. powdered sugar8 oz. cream cheese2 eggs1 tsp. vanilla Combine butter, egg and cake mix. This makes a dough. Put into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top. Mix the powdered sugar, cream cheese, 2 eggs and vanilla and pour over top. Bake 40 minutes at 350°.
