Cheesy vegetable chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- flour - 1/3 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- can chicken broth - 1 3/4
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- can mixed vegetables, drained - 1 oz
- pasteurized process cheese spread - 8 oz
- Tabasco, if desired - 1/4 tsp
How to make cheesy vegetable chowder:
Melt butter in large pan. Add onion and cook until tender. Add flour, whisk. Cook 1 minute on low heat, stirring. Add milk and chicken broth. Cook on medium heat, stirring until thickened. Add cheese and seasonings, stirring until cheese is melted. Add vegetables and parsley. Reduce heat and cook until heated. Do not boil.Recipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Chowders.
