Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 4 item
- pkg - 4 oz
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- carton sour cream - 1 oz
- whipping cream - 1 pt
- large can crushed pineapple, drained - 1 item
- vanilla 2 tsp - 1 tsp
How to make cheesecake:
Let cream cheese set at room temperature until softened. Combine cream cheese and sour cream, beating well. Add eggs and sugar; beat well. Add vanilla and cornstarch; beat well. Stir in whipping cream with spatula. Use a 9-inch spring-form pan. Place drained pineapple in bottom of pan; pour in cheesecake mixture. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.Cheesecake may crack during baking or while cooling; this is typical. Remove from oven; let set 15 minutes. Loosen latch of pan; let set for 30 more minutes. Remove rim; let cool completely overnight. Makes 16 (1-inch) slices.
Variation: Bake without pineapple; top with glazed strawberries.
