Cheese chowder
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- snipped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- chopped celery
- sliced green onions - 1/2 c
- shredded carrot - 1 c
- can chicken broth - 1 1/2
- can evaporated milk - 1 oz
- shredded Cheddar or Colby cheese - 2 c
- cans potato soup - 2 3/4
- few drops hot pepper sauce - 1 item
How to make cheese chowder:
In a large pan, melt butter; saute celery, carrot and green onion until tender (not brown). Add potato soup, chicken broth, water, parsley, pepper sauce and cook (stirring) until mixture barely boils. Turn off heat, cover and let stand for 20 to 25 minutes. Stir occasionally.
