Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- chili powder - 2 Tbsp
- oregano - 1 tsp
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- ground cumin - 1 Tbsp
- can green chilies - 1 oz
- pinto beans - 1 lb
- pork roast - 3 lb
- pods garlic, chopped - 2 item
How to make chalupa:
Mix all ingredients in slow cooker, Dutch oven, etc. Cover with water (more water can be added during cooking, if needed). Cover and cook slowly for approximately 8 hours or longer. After 5 hours, remove roast, debone and shred meat. Return meat to pot and continue cooking. Serve with taco or Fritos chips, grated cheese, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions and taco sauce.
