Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 lb
- stick butter - 1 item
- can Eagle Brand milk - 1 item
- dark Karo - 1 c
How to make caramels:
Mix all together in heavy pan or skillet. Stir continuously. Test in cold water for chewiness desired. Pour into 9-inch square buttered Pyrex. Do not scrape pan; put scrapings in another pan, as it makes your caramels too hard in the center. Cut desired size.This recipe is from her mother.
