Ingredients/Components
- bag caramels about 50 - 14 oz
- evaporated milk - 1/3 c
- German chocolate cake mix - 1 pkg
- butter - 3/4 c
- nuts - 1 c
- pkg - 6 oz
How to make caramel bars:
Combine caramels and evaporated milk (1/3 cup) and cook over low heat until melted; set aside. Mix together cake mix, butter, evaporated milk (1/3 cup) and nuts. Stir until dough holds together. Put 1/2 of this mixture in a 9 x 13 cake pan. Bake at 350° for 6 minutes. Add chocolate chips and caramel mixture. Sprinkle remainder of dough on top.
