Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- carrots, peeled and sliced - 1 lb
- Tabasco sauce - 1/4 tsp
- 1 stick oleo - 1/4 c
How to make candy coated carrots:
Cook carrots until tender; drain. Combine sugar and oleo; stir over medium heat until bubbly. Add Tabasco sauce and salt. Remove from heat. Add lemon juice and hot drained carrots. Toss gently until coated evenly.Recipe categories: Low protein, Side dish, Vegetables.
