Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- white sugar
- dash of nutmeg - 1 item
- or 6 sweet potatoes - 5 item
How to make candied yams:
Boil potatoes in jackets until tender. Peel potatoes and put in heavy skillet with melted margarine; add white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Cook until it comes to a boil; boil about 15 minutes on low to medium heat. Put in a baking dish and bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Pineapple, Side dish, Casseroles.
