Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- stick butter - 1 item
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- cloves - 1 tsp
- sweet potatoes - 3 lbs
How to make candied yams:
Cook potatoes in their jackets in water to cover until tender. Drain, peel and slice. Arrange slices in a casserole dish, add a syrup made of the remaining ingredients. Bake at 325° for 2 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: Pineapple, Side dish, Casseroles.
