Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- oil - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 2/3 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- can whole kernel corn, drained - 1 oz
- onion, chopped - 1 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- can cut green beans, drained - 1 item
- can sweet peas, drained - 1 oz
- jar pimiento pieces, sliced or diced and drained - 1 oz
How to make calico salad:
Heat together vinegar, pepper, salt, sugar and oil until dissolved; set aside to cool. Place vegetables in large bowl or container and pour cooled dressing over vegetable mixture. Refrigerate 6 to 8 hours or overnight. Add more vegetables to marinade when supply gets low.Recipe categories: Side dish, Beans, North american.
