Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 4 Tbsp
  • egg yolks - 3 item
  • flour scant - 6 Tbsp
  • red syrup optional - 3 Tbsp

How to make butterscotch pie:

Put part of milk in double boiler; add a little extra white sugar and part of brown sugar to milk. Add flour and rest of sugar together; stir in remaining milk and beat in egg yolks, then add with butter into hot mixture. Cool until thickened and add to pie crust.
