- soda
- buttermilk - 3/4 c
- baking powder
- shortening - 3/4 c
- mashed bananas - 1 to
- Add eggs, one at a time
- pecans if desired - 1 item
- sugar less 2 Tbsp
How to make banana cake:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, one at a time. Add bananas. Alternately beat in dry ingredients and buttermilk. Add vanilla. Bake in 3 greased 9-inch layers for 30 to 35 minutes at 350°. This recipe can be used to make banana bread.Frosting:2 c. half and half cream2 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla pecans (if desired) Cook half and half and sugar on low heat for 30 to 45 minutes.
