  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • sifted flour - 1 c
  • soft butter - 1 c
  • unsweetened chocolate - 4 sq

How to make brownies:

Cream 1/2 cup butter with sugar. Add eggs and beat until light. Add vanilla. Melt remaining butter with chocolate; cool and beat into first mixture. Add flour, salt and nuts. Mix well and pour into 13 x 9 x 2-inch greased and floured pan. Bake in preheated 350° oven for about 45 minutes. Cool in pan and cut into small squares. Makes 5 dozen.
