Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar
- butter - 1 item
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- cold water - 2 Tbsp
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- boiling water - 1 pt
- lemon juice - 1 item
- bread crumbs
- cornstarch or flour - 1 Tbsp
How to make bread pudding:
Sour Sauce:1 c. brown sugar1 pt. boiling water1 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour2 Tbsp. cold water butter lemon juice Soak bread crumbs in milk for 15 minutes. Stir in butter and seasonings. Beat eggs and add, stirring gently, but thoroughly. Pour into buttered baking dish and bake 1 hour at 350°. Serve with Sour Sauce.Sour Sauce: Add boiling water to brown sugar. Dissolve cornstarch or flour with cold water. Add to water and brown sugar. Add a piece of butter and lemon juice. Also good over cupcakes.
